Tri-State Guvs to Meet Next Week

December 9, 2009

The governors of the states involved in the tri-state water war will meet again after all, the AJC and other outlets reported this week. There’s no news yet on exactly what they’ll discuss, which makes it hard to prognosticate on how much will be accomplished at the meeting. It’s good, though, that the lines of communication are still open.

There was also an apparent reference to the meeting in today’s AJC story on Jekyll Island, wherein the paper quoted Bert Brantley, Governor Perdue’s spokesman, as saying that Perdue “is a pretty impatient person. He would prefer to see everything done a lot faster, whether it’s Jekyll, water [talks] or anything else.”
