“Water for All of Georgia”

October 15, 2010

As the 2010 general election season heads into the home stretch, “water” remains an oft-mentioned issue in news reports on the major statewide races. A fancier blogger could probably run some stats on Georgia news coverage and tell you just how oft-mentioned, but my own less formal survey says the term has been popping up a lot.

One piece of the water-as-an-issue picture is the scheduling of a gubernatorial candidate debate Oct. 19 in Albany – that is, in an area of the state long concerned about maintaining a sustainable water source.

Putting a point on some of the issues that are generally of concern in southwest Georgia and all across the state, especially in communities downstream of Metro Atlanta, is a new Georgia Water Coalition TV ad that’s now on the air. Watch it online here. And keep an eye out for more water news as Nov. 2 approaches…
